My friend buried her son today. The look in her eye's was so far away. Her mind was lost deep in thought about the baby she had watched grow into a fine young man. She closed her eye's fron the crying sting and I knew she was remembering every little thing. His first smile and the sound of his voice the first time she heard him say...love you mama. She opened her eye's...and looked to heaven with tears dropping like heavy rain. I could feel my friends thoughts as if she were screaming them to me. She was remembering his last smile and the sound of his voice the last time he said...love you mama and every little thing that happened in between.

It was two in the afternoon and already she had tasted the hemp and a couple shots of Southern Comfort. They helped blur the memories of blood on sand in that forbidding land...She is changing the lyrics from a song long ago...one she had heard him sing...I'm an American woman stay the oooo away from me...I got to much freedom for you to love me...the brainwashing of a dictator has gotten to you... I forgive you cause you know not what you do...she has another long draw and just a little sip...it really is better than paper with a doctors autograph...she is all alone now...all her buddies are gone but some how the battle still rages on...it's just in her head now...but...G.D....so many are dead...blood on sand...oooo...she couldn't find his hand... all thats left is...blood on sand...just another puff...another shot...and it will be... ANOTHER DAY

McMurdo Station Web Cam

McMurdo Station (77°51'S, 166°40'E), the main U.S. station in Antarctica, is a coastal station on the volcanic hills at the southern tip of Ross Island, about 3,864 km (2,415 miles) south of Christchurch, New Zealand, and 1,360 km (850 miles) north of the South Pole. The original station was built in 1955 to 1956 for the International Geophysical Year. Today's station is the primary logistics facility for supply of inland stations and remote field camps, and is also the waste management center for much of the U.S. Antarctic Program. Year-round and summer science projects are supported at McMurdo.

This style makes up the body of her work, however Christy is very much into nature spirituality and visionary artwork and does spiritual animal pieces as well that reflect her own reverence and awe of the natural world, spiritual concepts, and the animal kingdom.
